People say that video games are bad for you; sometimes I can’t help but agree with them. I know that you won’t believe me, heck, from time to time I can’t help but  not believe it myself, but this is the story of how I, Mike Ward, got sucked into a video game. Literally!

It all started a few months ago, a Saturday I think. Anyway, I was just chilling out on the couch in my basement playing some Halo 3. The level was the Ark. I remember because that’s where my life changed forever. I had just gotten to the part in the game where Master Chief just cleared an LZ (Landing Zone) for Commander Miranda Keys, a woman in charge of a squad in the UNSC, (United Nations Space Command) after her father, Commander Jacob Keys, died in Halo 1.

As I was playing, something happened that I really can’t explain. Sergeant Johnson came out of the Pelican and started walking toward me. “This isn’t part of the game,” I thought to myself. When he came up to me, he screamed, “hey maggot, there’s a war being fought and your sitting there like a fat by with a bag of popcorn!”

After seeing this, I thought, this can’t be real, so I walked over to turn off the X Box 360. I looked at the TV and saw a hand coming at me. I tried to jump away, but I was too late. I was pulled into the TV. It felt like forever but when I finally came to, I saw the world of Halo.

“What the heck is going on” I said, I looked at myself and saw that I was wearing an ODST (Orbital Drop Shock Trooper) uniform. “I can’t believe it,” I said in pure amazement. “Believe it,” said Johnson handing me a Battle Rife, “and by the way” he added, this ain’t a game anymore. You’re playing on a difficulty higher that Legendary, you’re playing on life.”

I jumped on the Scorpion Tank and we went on toward our next objective. I’ve beaten the game plenty of times, so I knew what lied around every corner, making life a lot easier for the other Marines. Once we got to our objective point, Master Chief went to access the bridge so the tanks can go through.

Once we got out of the building, we arrived on a steep hill with Covenant all over the place. We fought our way down the hill until we got to the bottom. “Well” said Master Chief, “now what?” all of a sudden, a huge vibration shakes the ground. “Scarab!” screams a Marine. Before I knew it, I saw myself staring at this huge metal death tank. “We’ll draw their attention; Chief, you and Ward take that thing down.”

As I watched the chief take our swarms of covenant on that tank, I was amazed. In the time, it takes me to kill five of them, he killed 15. When we reached the core of the Scorpion, Master Chief starts to set a bomb. We go to make our escape, and as we do, a Brute come around the coner and starts to open fire. One of the rounds hits me in the arm and Chief in the leg.

As I watched the Brute aim his gun at Master Chief’s head, I knew what I had to do. I tan toward the Chief and took the rounds of the Brutes Spikier Rifel in my chest. In my final view of the world, I see the Chief kill the Brute. Before I could say anything, I fell a force start to full me and the next thing I can remember is me being thrown on my couch. To this very day, I have never played that level in Halo 3

7. when you see the picture of the game you would like, click the picture.

8. scrole down to the green arrow button entitled: Download Rom.

10 Things That Make Me Laugh

1. Stand up comedians, such as, Jeff Dunham, Dane Cook, and Gabriel Iglesias. The reason that these people in particular make me laugh is that there material is very humorous.

1. The movie “The Naked Gun” is hilarious and has very random moments.

1. The movie “Pulp Fiction” is another great movie, though I do not recommend it for people who are not a fan of foul language.

1. The TV show “Scrubs” is my favorite show. It is full of comedy and laughter.

1. The famous internet pictures “LOL Cats.” If anyone has seen these pictures, than you will know what I mean.

Indonesia Earthquake

The 6.6 magnitude quake Thursday hit South Sumatra at 8:52 a.m. local time (9:52 p.m. Wednesday ET), about 100 miles (160 km) from Bengkulu, the U.S. Geological Survey said. An earlier quake Wednesday had a magnitude of 7.6. At least 529 people have died, the Indonesian Social Affairs Ministry said Thursday. But officials fear the death toll may climb much higher, perhaps into the thousands.

1. Exercises can be done standing up or sitting down. Usually done Standing up.
2. You must always start at a neutral position
3. Breathing is very helpful. Don’t hold your breath in and out.

ANSWERS:

1. back problems can be caused by typing
2. Cumulative Trauma Disorder
3. Motion or movements holding there for a long time can cause pain, tightness, stiffness, tingling.
4. Ergonomic is the environment that is suitable for people that are typing like a suitable chair for u to keep our posture.

Why I Choose SMHS

The reason I choose to go to St. Mary High School is that it is just like what the slogan says: “You’re Small Personal Catholic Choice.” Being at a small school has a very big benefit. One such benefit is the fact that there are small classrooms. Meaning that there is more one on one help if needed. It is a good religious experience. you can come to this school not knowing anything about your religion, but at the end of the year, you will know about ten times more than you have originally known.

Plus: Mrs. Fagan is THE best teacher EVER!!!!!

President Obama’s Health Care Plan

President Obama addressed the AMA (The American Medical Association) about his new Health Care System on June 17, 2009. In his address he talks all about this system and the benefits. Some benefits include more health care while paying less money for it. The President talks about how this will not only help the American Citizen, but also Doctors, for they will be able to do what they got into medicine to do, to help their patients. The best part about this plan is that if you don’t like the plan President Obama has for you, you don’t need to accept it, but you will pay less for the plan you have now. If you do like the plan or have no insurance, than it will cost less and will be more affordable to get insurance.

My Favorite Childhood Memory

My favorite childhood memory would be the time when i was about 5 years old. It was my first time going to florida, also my first time going on an airplane. I was the happiest kid in the world. We road first class and when we landed, a limousine was waiting for us. When we got to our hotel, i saw all the Disney characers. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, you name  it. I was so happy. We spent all of out time at Disney world. This was deffiently my favorite childhood memory.
